Competition mechanics

For a chance to win a £150 restaurant voucher or one of two £50 restaurant/cafe vouchers, entrants will need to follow @200graysinnroad on Instagram and post on Instagram a photo or video of their “hidden gem” local to 200 Gray’s Inn Road with the hashtag #hiddengemsofgraysinnroad.

For the purposes of this competition, a “hidden gem” is defined as one of the following: a café, restaurant, bar, coffee shop, park, walk, activity, shop, gallery, gym, class, museum, club or gig venue.

The “hidden gem” must be located within Gray’s Inn, Clerkenwell, Bloomsbury, Chancery Lane, Farringdon or within one mile of 200 Gray’s Inn Road. Your photo must also comply with the Photo Guidelines below.

The competition will run from Monday 10^th of June 2024 to Friday 26^th of July 2024 (inclusive).

The winner(s) will be chosen at random and contacted by Friday 2nd August 2024.

Competition prize

1 post will be chosen at random tagging @200graysinnroad & with the hashtag #hiddengemsofgraysinnroad and will receive a £150 voucher to a restaurant within one mile of 200 Gray’s Inn Road (that sells gift vouchers or cards).

2 posts will be chosen at random tagging @200graysinnroad & with the hashtag #hiddengemsofgraysinnroad and each will receive a £50 voucher to a restaurant or café within one mile of 200 Gray’s Inn Road (that sells gift vouchers or cards).

3. By entering the prize competition, you agree to the below terms and conditions, to be bound by the decisions of GPE and the relevant Privacy Notice linked here.

4. Entering the Competition
5. This prize competition is open only to UK residents who are aged 18 or over. Employees of the Great Portland Estates PLC or its Group are not permitted to enter.
6. No purchase necessary.
7. The prize competition starts on Monday 10th^th June 2024 at 00:01 and finishes on Friday 26^th July 2024 at 23:59. To enter the competition participants will need to post a photo of their “hidden gem” with the hashtag #hiddengemsofgraysinnroad tagging @200graysinnroad

Photo Guidelines:

8. The photo must not contain material that violates or infringes another's rights, including but not limited to privacy, publicity or intellectual property rights, or that constitutes copyright infringement;
9. The photo must not contain brand names or trademarks,;
10. The photo must not contain images or artwork not created by entrant;
11. The photo must not contain material that is inappropriate, indecent, obscene, hateful, tortious, defamatory, slanderous or libellous;
12. The photo must not contain material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age; and
13. The photo must not contain material that violates any laws or regulations.
14. All eligible entries will be entered in the competition. Participants can enter multiple times. No entries on behalf of third parties will be accepted.
15. By entering this Competition, you authorise the transfer of your personal data to GPE for the purpose of administering the Competition. All information submitted to GPE as part of this Competition will be treated in accordance with GPE’s privacy policy, available here
16. Entry must be made by the entrant only.
17. No responsibility is accepted for any entries that are incomplete, ineligible, corrupted, lost or delayed or are unable to be sent because of any technical or other reason.

Choosing the Winners

18. GPE will pick 1 first prize winner and 2 second prize winners by Friday 2nd August 2024.
19. GPE will notify the winners of the prize via direct message on Instagram by Friday 2nd August 2024. The notification will include details of how the prize can be accepted. If a winner does not confirm acceptance of the prize by Friday 9^th of August 2024 or is unable to take up the prize, then another winner will be selected.

The Prize

20. The winners must accept their prize in its entirety.
21. The winner will be asked to confirm their acceptance of the prize.
22. The winners must provide their full contact details (and identification information or proof of age, if required) and confirm acceptance of these terms and conditions and thus claim their prize prior to Friday 9^th August 2024.All information required will be sent via Instagram direct message to the account that entered the winning submission.
23. Winners must agree to comply with confidentiality restriction.

General

24. The prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and subject to availability. There is no cash alternative.
25. GPE’s decision is final and binding and GPE reserves the right to not enter into correspondence regarding the outcome of the competition.
26. No responsibility will be taken for late, lost, indecipherable or misdirected entries or for any failure of communication resulting from incorrectly supplied information.
27. GPE reserves the right to check the validity of any entry and the identity of any entrant or winner and guest and refuse giving a prize if GPE reasonably considers the entry and/or winner or guest to be in breach of the terms and conditions.
28. Prize details are correct at date of publication. GPE reserves the right to substitute any element of the prize with a prize of an equal or greater value should any original element of the prize become unavailable for any reason, including the right to offer an alternative experience.
29. GPE reserves the right at any time in its sole discretion to cancel, modify or supersede the prize competition if it believes, in its sole discretion, that the prize competition is not capable or is likely not to be capable of being conducted fairly or as specified within these terms and conditions due to events beyond its control (including, without limitation, a virus, a computer bug or unauthorized human intervention or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of GPE that could corrupt or affect the administration, security, impartiality or normal course of the prize competition).
30. The entrants and guests agree to assign all copyright and intellectual property developed during this prize competition exclusively to GPE.
31. GPE shall have no liability for any delay and/or failure to perform any obligation to the winners or other entrants that is caused by: (a) technical problems of any kind which may limit or prevent any person's participation in the prize competition; (b) any loss or damage arising from or in connection with the allocation of the prizes; (c) any act or omission of any third party; or (d) any other events beyond GPE’s control that may cause the prize competition to be disrupted or corrupted.
32. If any of these terms and conditions is found by a court or regulator to be invalid or unenforceable the other provisions shall continue to apply.
33. We will do our best to resolve any problems relating to the prize competition.
34. This promotion shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.
